Speakers on Budget

for you PC? Do you have a receiver or is it straight out of the computer?

Klipsch is the best cheap PC 2.1. If you have a receiver and need 2 monitor speakers then try those Insignias at BB.
 
shivang, i am thinking of getting those same speakers myself. i have a Creative Labs SoundBlaster X-Fi ExtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series Sound Card. was wondering what anyone thought of using the logitech 5300's on that sound card???
everything i have read so far says there good speakers. i would like to go z5500 but the cash is not happening. well, still have to con the wife into me getting them is what i really mean to say :O)
 
well, last night i pulled out my audigy 2 and deleted all programs and drivers. i have windows vista premium 64 bit and at first the card did not work. But then i updated the drivers for vista 64 and it worked and i noticed a difference but i only have creative inspire 6.1 6600's so i am sure if i upgrade the speakers i will notice better quality and differences. since i just recently put windows 64 vista on my pc i am going to reinstall from scratch just to make sure i install everything correctly.


some others have told me that the logitech 5300's would sound great on the card. but if i can con the wife into it i would be much happier.
 
The logitech speakers have always been great for the price. If you have under $100 then your probably better off getting a set of X-540's The 5300's and 5500's are alot more powerful and alot more expensive. HT gear is usually the best way to go but if you don't have the money go with PC speakers. You will be more then happy with any of those models.
 
but which would be the better choice? i mean are they similar/close to each other or is it a world of a difference between the z-5300 and the 540?
 
The 540's are like 70 watt entry level model and the 5300 while not the flagship is still pretty high up the ladder. If you have the cash your better of going with the 5300-e
 
preferably 5.1....
whichever you think would give me better sound quality in about $150
