I'm looking for some speakers to make watching movies on my notebook a little more reasonable. I'd like to pay around $100 for something that will do a decent job, but I would pay up to $200 for something particularly nice.
Do you want a 2.1 system or a 5.1 system? or do you want a portable solution? Maybe a 2.0? I ask because you mentioned the fact that it was for a notebook.
You can maybe look through the refurbished section of Klipsch's website for some good deals. I am not familiar with logitech's line these days but I'd research any thx certified logitech speakers also.
