Speaker recommendations for less than 50$?

like the title says, can i get a few suggestions for a speaker set for less than 50$? looking into maybe a 2.1 or a 4.1... maybe even a 5.1 if the quality of them are nice? reason im asking is that im not too familiar with the lower end stuff... yea its kinda funny for me to ask such a question when i have a z5500 set like my sig says. i gotta pick these up soon and so i need some responses quick. thanks to all in advance.

ps, how are the logitech x530s? i found a 2.1 set for like around 30$?
 
ive been pretty happy with these for over 2-3years now

the only complaint i have about them is the remote. the volume knob after about 6months started acting funny. when i turn it up sometimes the sound fades in and out its very strange. the solution for the problem was to just pull the knob a little bit and then turn it in the direction that i wanted. works for me. the price was nice and the inputs are pretty good. the overall sound quality is good for gaming.

oh btw i have the wired version..
 
Don't own them myself but many here seem to enjoy the logitech x-530 5.1 setup. Buy.com often drops the price to $43 shipped if you're patient enough.

Otherwise Altec lansing's are fairly popular, not sure what models are good though.

Not sure, haven't heard anything about them to be honest.

I remembered this thread after i saw the logitech X-530 5.1 go on special for $32 shipped ;)

Do a search on the forum for " X-530 " and you'll see a lot of praise for them actually (seem good for budget-multimedia speakers anyway).

Yeah, those do look fairly good for the price, one of my friends has them, got them as a Christmas gift, and he really likes them, they've worked well for him ever since he got them, they do sound ok, we played Halo one night on them, the entire game, and they sounded good. But if want to bump up your budget a little, to around $100, then i would recomend what i have, the Logitech Z-2300 they are $$89.99 at Newegg.

The only computer speakers I've ever liked the sound of was the Logitech X-530 set. Those are at the forefront of my suggestions for PC speakers.
