Speak & Spell "voice" for narration?

i found a speak and spell emulator (SASS), but we can't get it to "read" text we've written...

do you guys know if you could ever get a speak and spell to "recite" words? it only had the "i'll say a word and you try to spell it"... right?

my friend insists it could, because he's heard the speak and spell voice cussing on a record one time, but i don't think it could ever do text to speech on the fly like that.

does anyone have a link to where i could find the "voice" itself to load into an app like windows' narrator?
