Now I have a little story, for a few days my expensive effective 750W Forton PSU has been a little noisy, so I decided to change the fan... Everything looked like it was working perfectly, until I did the final test before reassembling the build, the PSU had been making a little high pitch noise before that test but I thought it was normal. Well I plugged it in, and turned it on... About a second later I see this huge spark and a fireball inside the PSU and finally black smoke coming out the back.. Great!

After hitting myself 50 times in the face I've decided I need a new one, one that is noise free and can supply more than enough power for a rig below, Pros would be if it is modular and powerful enough and it must be quiet, as you can see above I do not tolorate loud PSU's, While still not going way out of my price range under 250, 300 Totally Tops.

I found this one at frozenCpu:

Is it good? Quiet?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks.

Edit: after examining the PSU the Damage looks like its at the fan "port", The base of the fan wire had gone off for some reason.

This one looks good:

Suggestions?

How about this one:

Is it powerful enough to power my system? And if, how much headroom?

Your system is pretty close to mine and I have that Corsair unit so I can certainly tell you that it is plenty powerfull and quite quiet too. (I never hear mine so I assume it's quiet enough) I tried a few power calculators on the web and basically found that I stress this PSU only around 50-60 percent, so there should be plenty of headroom...

Thanks M8, you saved my day.

You can find teh corsair 620 cheaper elsewhere, shop around.

I know but I prefer a site where they accept international credit cards (not in the US Atm), and other payment methods are just not worth the hassle.
