Spanning games across multiple monitors

I've got a quad monitor setup and I was wondering if it was possible to span a game (like say BF2) across all 4 monitors? Even to span it across 2 would be kinda cool. I have a 6800GT and 6200TC. I am not planning to keep playing games spanned across them as the 6200TC sucks for gaming, I was just wondering if it was possible, cause it would be cool. Anyway, thanks in advance.
 
yes and no.

You can do it but you need more than one video card. Probably 1 for each monitor, so two PCI Express and 2 regular PCI cards. The Matrox Parephelia (sp) can do it with just one IIRC.

It would probably look best with just three displays like this: Side View, Front, Side View. Using just two and your crosshair will be between the two monitors where you can't see it due to the edges of the displays. I'm sure someone else will correct me if I'm wrong about any off this.

I would love to have a few extra LCD's ( and tons of powerful PC hardware) so that I can have 3 for Flight Simulator as the cockpit and one or two more showing the instruments. That would be sweet.

My gosh that looks perfect. What res is Doom]l[ being played at on two lcd's ? And would you need SLi only for that to work ?

SLI doesnt support dual displays.

So that image of Doom]l[ on two LCD's is just with one video card ? Wouldnt that get like 5fps at best :) ? What res is that running, and how do you set it up ?

I don't know what res it is running since it isn't my setup. I just saved the pics cause it looked cool. If you want to try to find it, it was in a Doom 3 thread last year when Doom 3 just came out. I'll try to find it for you.
 
So how do I get two LCD's to display one game across both at such high res and still get 60+fps ? And of course all of this on SLI
