SP2 Slipstreaming process, creating ISO/Bootable CD

I have gone through all of the steps to get SP2, intergrated into my original XP-CD files, and have it all sitting in a folder, ready to be made into an ISO/Bootable DVD.

However, the XP CD I have, I am sure is a pirated copy. I picked it up a while back about 2½ years ago and have always used my Legit Win98SE CD, to load the CD-Rom device drivers and then going on to install XP from there.

I am stuck at this point, of creating my SP2 Intergrated XP Disk, as my original XP disk, does not have a BOOT LOADER and therefore I cannot use Nero to attach the boot info to my intergrated disk.

*** If this is a question I shouldn't be asking I am sorry in advance, I am not ignoring the rules here, I just don't know.***
But is it possible to obtain this boot loader from anywhere, be it a Windows Helper Site, or Microsoft itself?
Is it possible to use a Windows98SE boot loader instead, or it that too different?
I have tried getting it from WINXP Boot disk's (7of7) but no luck.

Thanks

typing wxpvol_en into google, and a little surfing I come up with -
Bootfiles
This is part of what I need. I need another file called Microsoft Corporation.img

Find a program called Autostreamer. It takes your CD and the main SP2 file, and creates a bootable iso for you with about 4 mouse clicks total....couldn't be easier. It's free, too.

That's all you need if you're using Nero.

I'd get rid of that P1r4+3d copy of Windows XP. You see, even admitting to using a P1r4+3d copy of Windows XP is a violation of [H] rules, and may result in being banned from the [H].

Search the [H]ard | Forum(tm) for "pirated", under the username "E4g1e", and have it set to display posts rather than threads - and you'll see why.

Thanks all! Good linkage.

Well, thanks for the [H]eads up. That really sucks, that one could be banned for using software that was purchased unknowingly to be a copy. After all it has all the holograms? Anyways, I have a Laptop rebuild cd for my Toshiba Lappy, however I never use it coz it's Home, not Pro. I'd use it, as I do actually own at least 1 legitimate copy of xp, but it's a self installer? So it dont have the crucila files I need, to get SP2 intergrated into a boot cd!

But seriously, if I was to be banned after being a member for nearly 4 years on this here forum, just for mentioning that my cd might be a copy as it isn't bootable, then well, I wouldn't know what to think.

You could probably get the bootable XP ISO with SP2 integrated off suprnova and save yourself trouble. It's not piracy if you're using your own legit license & key; where you get the disc image from is completely irrelevant in that regard.

Except he already has all he needs if he still has that boot.bin file.

Ahhah, sorry I must have missed your post previously. Was that you'z! Anyways.

I have Nero 6 Express, which I got with my DVD Burner, but it has a different (newer, but less *im guessing*) functions compared to the one used in alot of online tutorials.

When it comes to the screen of adding my bootfiles for the disk, I only get to select from boot disk in drive??? So I can't add my own specified files.

I guess I need a full'er version.

*EDIT*
Wait a minute!
This is all I get when clicking on the nero icon on the bootable disk page?

You need Nero Ultra edition, I guess your CD-Key isn't for the Ultra edition :(. You're prob best using one of those auto programs listed above. Cliking Nero works for me, heh =/
