My evga board's southbridge (or is it northbridge..) is pretty hot Thers only a wimpy fan on it, and its usually in the mid 40's under load. Any advice? Should I even be concerned about this for system stability? I think if I was to lower this, I could overclock a bit more. Thanks.

I would recommend lapping the base of the heatsink and replacing the stock thermal paste with Arctic Silver or the paste of your choice. You could, if you felt it necessary, replace the wimpy fan with something larger, but this is probably unnecessary.
