Is it coming on the Nforce4, or not?

I thought for sure that it was coming, but now I heard that it isn't...

its not confirmed by nvidia if thats what you mean.. but yes rumor is it is coming this winter on nf4.

i'd bank on that it IS coming... on both the NF4 and in PCX form. PCX I'd wager on for sure, the onboard possibly not happen.

Everyone's going to buy one anyway, what else are you going to use if you are a serious gamer and want your 5.1 DD RT encoding, a awesome set of software utils/eq/driver stability and good sound..

I have been told by a rep for one of the motherboard makers that nVidia is not working on soundstorm 2. May or may not be true.

If you are looking for Dolby encoding you may have to go to Dolby Digital Live Technology.

It is included with some boards that have intel 915 or 925 chipsets.

I'm an AMD guy...

EDIT: I hate the BTX design and the LGA socket design. I'm sticking with AMD if I can.

Intel and Nvidia are going to rock the crap out of Creative..
NV already has taken over most of the knowledgable gaming crowd. Once its out in PCI Express form watch Creative start their suing, blackmail and other tactics again.

Nvidia is no little Aureal, and they are incredibly aggressive. I expect some major upsetting in the gaming audio market. Not as if Soundstorm didnt already (and it was a onboard only solution..)
