Which one of these is better? I am going to order a board that has soundstorm on it, but I already have an Audigy. Will I notice any difference? Thanks in advance.

For what purpose? Soundstorm has almost no relevence, other than being cool (to some). Yes, you can output digital 5.1 with any source- yes, there are other ways to do this, or rather accomlish the same goal that doing that would accomplish. Please extrapolate your reasoning, because there is no end all be all solution here- only specialized products that are best left to do what they do best.
 
with the audigy, you'll get better sound quality and gaming support.
the soundsound storm itself doesn't so anything else beyond encoding audio to DD 5.1 in real time and is coupled with some cheap onboard soundchip (like a realtek al650) that usually sounds like crap.
stick with your audigy or invest in a newer soundcard.
 
Tell us what motherboard you are going to order. The only ones that have the "real" Soundstorm anymore are socket A. Anyhow, yes, you should sitck with your audigy.

As far as soundstorm, yes there is another card, made by HiTec, but that is the only add-on card that does it, and to my knowledge is not even in the US market outside of EBay yet.

Oh, and the HiTec uses the c-media chipset.....yep the same c-media that makes all these onboard chips....so calling onboard cound crappy is merely more audio snobbery. It's not the chip that sucks, it's the motherboard maker's implementation, and no it is not the same...it's just a case of where we have to tell the boardmaker that they should either do it right or not do it at all.

I loved how my soundstorm sounded even using the codec chip, but I had to give it up when I went to a head-fi setup and could hear all kinds of electrical noises that I couldn't get out....crappy design allowed for electrical noise from the USB and PCI bus into it.....grr..

Really? Go read up on Soundstorm- you'll have to dig, the stuff's ancient. The APU is still one of the most powerful out there for surround processing- and it does EAX2 IN HARDWARE unlike ANYTHING else, save Creative's line. For digital out gaming, that's as good as it gets- for anything else gaming, there's Creative. Fortunately for us (and not for Soundstorm), digital out gaming is near pointless and very rare- while being cool I admit (playing games in a nice home theater).
