I got a Fujitsu C2210 laptop but it only has an average sound card (Sigmal Tel) or whatever that is built in.

I was wondering if I can improve sound quality by adding in an external sound card (by PCMCIA card, cardbus) I came across this audio company called echo digital corp. Has anyone ever used their products? any good?

Any other brands you recommend?

Echo cards are mainly for Pro-Audio recording...

They are good cards (very low latency, and high resolution)

But it really depends on what you will be using it for. Gaming? You could get away with it, but no Hardware EAX (not even sure if the software has EAX support)

General music playback would be fine though, just there expensive if you're not using it for what it's made for.
