Im looking to upgrade my audio for my pc.
My current setup consists of:
Speakers old 1970's Sansui AA-3900. 8" woofer and 2"-3" tweeter. They give pretty good sound but i dont want to wear them out since they are pretty old. The best thing is they give pretty nice bass down to about 40Hz and the tweeter is almost exactly at my ear height.
Amp National Panasonic (Yes, before it was Panasonic lol) RA-6500.
Sub A DSE 10" 100w sub. Its the first revision from 08 or so, not the current crap one (though its still pretty bad lol).
Headphones AKG44. Dont use these much, only for night time and lans.
The audio goes out of my computer into an NEC Surround Decoder AVD-700 which i use to select audio between my PC, PS3 and Recording DAW (thats all i use it for).
On my rig i mainly do:
-40% Music
-40% Gaming
-20% Watching mkv's
Im thinking either:
-Asus Essence ST (good for music + HF amp).
-Creative Titanium HD (good positional sound for BC2/CSS/TF2 and overall good gaming card).
-Grabbing a Pioneer VSX520 and some bookshelf speakers down the road (not sure what type).
What do you think?
Thanks
