soundblaster titanium HD 5.1 problem

im using the digitial out to the toslink hooked into my astro mixamp to my head set.

when i first got it i was able to select 5.1 but now when i select 5.1 it switches for a second and converts back to 2.1. I have to use dolby digital live encoder to even get it to work.

Any help?
