I'm using a Soundblaster Live! soundcard with the surround mixer that came with the card.

Also, im using a set of Cyber Acoustics 4.1 surround speakers. But the problem is that i install all the drivers and software, but after every restart, it sets my speakers to a 2.1 setup, and wont let me change it to a 4.1 setup.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling all the soundblaster stuff but it keeps resetting my setup to 2.1

Anyone have any ideas?
 
You might try to set it in windows itself to the correct settings.
As I have the Dutch version I am not sure how it is named in Enlish but I will try :D

Goto config screen en open the audio and/or sound config file
At the bottom of the now opened window you should see the speaker settings, choose advanced.
Choose the right mode for you system and confirm your choice

Excuse me when I didn't written down the correct names of the paths and files, like I said...I dont have the English version :p
 
Oddeiga - Is there another DSound application running at boot-up or running in the background? Also, do you have another audio device installed on your machine?
