I recently bought a new system, and with it a nice Antec Sonata case and the OEM Soundblaster Audigy 2 card. The case has front panel connections for the Line out and MIC, as well as 2 USB and one Firewire port.

My Intel D875PBZLK Motherboard has a plug for the front panel USB, but nothing for either the Firewire ( which I new it didn't ) or the audio ( which was a suprise to me ). The Soundblaster has internal connections for a daughter card with can have front panel firewire support. What I want to know is if I can somehow connect my front Firewire port directly to the internal header on the Soundblaster labeled SB1394. Also, is there anywhere in the AD header one the Soundblaster for the front panel MIC or Lineout connections?

The only reason I thought the Intel Board had internal audio connections is that they are shown on the website link for the 875PBZ motherboards technical documentation here:

i dont think they are liars.
the manual does say:
Audio Subsystem (Optional)

i have the same motherboard, and theres no audio support at all. Not to mention, if you used the onboard connectors for your front panel, you arent making use of a sound card.

as for your other question, can you get the headers from the sblive, no idea. i think its a proprietary digital connector setup for their live drive. I have a live drive, seems pretty nice.
the headphone amp could still use a lot of work tho.
