Just out of curiousity, are there any soundcards with two line in jacks? I have xm pc radio and an external tv tuner/input box, and I would like to have both going to line in, rather than using the pass through on the tuner. My acoustic edge just bit the dust, so I'm currently in the market for a new sound card, but preferably something cheap, I only use my klipsch, I just want it to sound good.

Any thoughts?

Edit: Or, would I be able to find some sort of Y combiner (IE, the oppostive of a splitter?

I'm guessing both are 2channel and analog.

Combiners work as splitters. If you go to radio shack, look at thire cables, the combiners and spliters always says "to combine or split."

That way will work but if you have both going on at once it wont be pretty. Also your noise to sound ratio will go up too.

Better option I see is getting some type of switch or get a preamp with more then one input.

As for soundcards, I don't know of any consumer cards that have 2 stereo analog in. Alot of the older professional cards might be in your price range and still offer good sound (about as good as todays best comsumer).

Some TV cards have a internal sound hook up, if yours does then you can get a sound card with an internal AUX connector on it and hook the TV card up internally and use the external input jack for the XM Radio.
My old SB Live Value had three internal jacks, one for the CD drive one for an AUX and a third that I am not sure what it was for it is labeled "TAD"

A "Y" Splitter/combiner would also work well as the sound automaticly mutes when your not watching TV, at least mine does anyway (ATI TV Wonder PCI).
