I need to get a better sound system for my computer. I really could use better speakers and a sound card. Right now I have crappy harman/kardon speakers that came with my old computer that are running on onboard Realtek sound.

For the sound card, should I get the Creative Audigy 2 ZS or the X-Fi?

Some people say they hate the X-Fi and others say it is about the same as the Audigy 2 ZS. I would imagine it has more to do with speakers that can handle what the card is throwing at them (i.e. you won't get sound that is worlds better unless you get better speakers too).

What are some decent speakers to get for my computer if I get one of the above sound cards? My price range is between $100-$200 for the speakers only.
 
I heard somewhere that the X-Fi has issues with nforce 4 mobos? Is this true?
