can anybody tell me why when i record tv shows on my computer, i have no sound?

if there's anything you guys need to know, please ask. i'm very lost right now, and i come to the experts ^_^

comp is the pentium rig in my sig.

any help you give me is greatly appreciated ^_^

Well do you have a cable from your TV's sound out to the computers sound in? If all you have is a video cable, all you're going to get is video ;)
 
ah, i'm recording things via a tv recording card w/ a coax cable. i've gotten sound before, but now it's not. i'm kinda stumped. thank you for helping though.
 
thanks to vertigo, sorry i didn't reply, i've been busy... school things and such.... sorry man, i appreciate the help ^_^. but yeah, when recording from my tvtuner card, i don't get anysound. any input guys? i'm not sure what's wrong because i had sound before, but now i'm not getting any... =\ anything you guys can tell me i'd appreciate. thanks in advance ^_^
