I have a Lian-Li A70b case and a Cool master V8 cooler

I replaced a Exhaust fan and the CPU cooler fan with high CFM fans that are pretty darn loud, but produce drastically lower case and CPU temps. I also added a additional in-take fan 120mm in the spare 5.25
bays. The wife started complaining about the noise.

I made two mods and it dropped the noise in half. First used a controller to tune the speed of the new exhaust fan to a sweet spot that was more quiet.

Then I added Dynmat Extreme Sound and vibration damping material to the case walls and panels. The dynamat really seemed to help!

Give it a try. Still a loud box but we can live with it now!

Used Dynamat in my car to the same effect and it did a great job. Unfortunately for me I cant use it because the part of my case allowing noise to escape is the acrylic side panel. In my soon to be purchased case I will prob go with something like that.

Get a The Antec Skeleton. no sound whatsoever. cools your system really good!

The Skeleton is the exact opposite from noise-proof, since it actually lets every noise out, rather than blocking anything like a normal enclosed case would. Plus, from what I hear the top fan isn't the quietest either.
