I hope im posting this in the correct form, because im not sure what subject i would put this problem under. Anyways when i play Doom3 or Half-life2 my sound replays, example being i swap weapons in Doom3 and that sound just keeps looping 3-4times. I tried to reconfigure it in Doom3, but nothing there helped me. I also went through the drivers list and looked at my sound card drivers, no problems were to be found there either. My graphics are holding strong at 20FPS, so what could be the problme

20FPS is not very strong, if thats what you are averaging you are probably dipping down into the 10 range when something like a weapons swaps. I say this becuase your CPU or mem might be glitching during those dips, espicialy if you have onboard audio which relies heavily on those two components.

it sounds like you're experiencing a "stuttering" effect. try lowering the audio quality in those games and/or turning off EAX. lowering the video quality might also help.

Cause yes at the moment im using onboard audio, with a Ge-Force 5200 and a 2.4ghz pentium 4. 20Fps for me is strong, also the sound doesnt just lapse when i do weapon swaps it happens when i walk, shoot, and an imp jumps me. This is the first time that it has happened cause before i repaired my os since it kept crashing, everything worked fine before this.
