I have an HP pc with integrated sound Realtek AC97 Audio and this a Intel board of course, and my surround sound is only putting out sound from the 2 front speakers and the subwoofer. Now you can hear the hissing noise coming from the other speakers but no sound. I checked the settings is all ok set for 5.1 surround and also notice that the back of the subwoofer case where everything connects to including the power is really hot, so hot that you cannot keep your finger for more than one second. I never had this problems before and never notice the heat from the subwoofer. I tried to update the driver but it has the latest one should I uninstall it and the reinstall the driver or not? Please advice. By the way the surround sound is a Altec Lansing 5.1 surround sound.
