My pc volume is extremely low even on the highest level, I cannot hear my polk audio speakers, and the headphones arent even that loud either. My setup is ASUS a7V600, 512DDR GEIL pc3200, AMD Barton 2600+, ATI Radeon 9200SE 128mb, Onboard Audio (SOUNDMAX), Foxconn case 350watt power supply. I would like to know how to make my volume louder or what I need to buy in order to get better sound.

It sounds like you have passably decent speakers. Perhaps you should just get yourself a soundcard. Pick up a cheap Audigy 2 or somehting.

On the second thought. Tell me what your speakers are, and how you have them hooked up.

well i dont really know much about the speakers except that they are around 2 years old but still look up-to-date. polk audios through my dual speaker connecter. i thought one might have been bad so i tried the other and it worked just fine. these speakers work awesome in my parents old p.o.s HP though- sound is crisp and loud as crap

Ahhhh....there's your problem. Are the Polk speakers Powered? If they arnt then you need to get new speakers. If they are....then well, I can't really help you. :)
