So I have my graphics card HDMI out to my AV Receiver (Yamaha RX-573). I've also tried optical out from PC to AV Receiver.

When I bitstream (play Blu-rays via TMT5), there is no audio lag whatsoever. When I just play flash videos on youtube, regular AVI files, etc, there is audio lag (The audio comes AFTER the video). I can't set my AV Receiver to use the audio delay feature, because the audio is after the video.

It seems to be that the AV receiver is doing some processing that causes the audio to be delayed. I've tried setting the AV receiver to STRAIGHT mode or PURE, or dIRECT, but the audio still lags.

What should I do? Should I get a receiver that does Analog 5.1 in? Will that fix my problem?

Also, cable box, xbox 360, ps3 do not have the audio delay issue via HDMI.
