Sound for music lover

I love my music loud and good bass. I listen to mp3s and cds. Is there any good sounds out there, I like the way the x-fi prelude is. But I am hearing mixed feelings on this card being for gamers. And sounds card like the Xplosion and Asus Xonar is better for music listening.

The Prelude is as good as any other Creative card for gaming, as it is based on the X-Fi chip. If gaming compatibility is what you want then don't overlook the Prelude.

If music is of your prime concern then there are better solutions then any you named - you could check out companies like M-Audio.

I hope you didn't read the flawed review of the Xonar and Prelude on ExtremeTech and come up with this idea.
