Hi,

My home NAS (home build, not off the shelf) is in the loft, which is boarded but not carpeted. I get a lot of vibrational noise from this setup and want to minimize it.

I have the Akasa Infinity case which has those swing out feet, which to me personally serve no functional purpose so thought about taking them out (just screwed from inside the case) and replacing with sound deadening feet.

What are the absolute best ones to get for this purpose?

Also, I need some 92mm to 120mm fan mount brackets but can't find any that are slimline.

Thanks

In Hifi often spikes are used as isolators. Other trick is just put it on some thick rubber/high density foam.

If you have spare bits of carpet, either cut strips or round feet from it and glue them on.
You can test it without glueing.
Cheap and effective.

I saw nice 'rubber' bolt on isolators where the shape & 'stiffness' of the foot is designed for specific, different weight loads.

They didn't offer anything harddrive sized so I lost interest, but that is exactly what I would get for your use case.
