Not sure where this goes, so if the following doesn't belong here, then feel free to move it mods.

I'm going to be buying an Antec P160 case (see sig) and saw it on FrozenCPU with a bunch of extras available. Specifically, I was intrigued by their sound dampening padding. Does anyone know if this stuff works and how much it will affect case temperature? Thanks.

DIY with Dynamat (or similar) and cork tiles (sort you buy at Staples as a pinboard).

Dynamat makes the panels heavier, and stops vibration in the case from turning it into an amplifier, cork deaden sound inside the case. Also mount your fans through gromets, so they don't transfer vibrations to the case.

There are better ways to do it. FrozenCPU need to make a buck somehow though - your call. DIY and have braggin rights, or buy premade, and save yourself the hassle.Choice is yours.

The DIY approach sounds more interesting (and more $$ effective). The cork tile solution sounds esp tempting to try. Thanks for the tip on the fan gromets; I'll be sure to remount the case fans as such.
