Sound dampening material?

I have an antec case seen here. This box is my WHS. I have 3 HDD's, CPU fan, back exhaust, and I *think* an 80mm intake fan on the front. There is a 'tube' that is part of the side of the case to channel the CPU exhaust right out the side of the case...

The box is pretty quiet, but I want to get it as silent as possible. Yes, I know I have 3 HDD's and 3 fans. What seems to be making the most amount of noise is sort of an 'echo' sound on the inside of the case. Possibly because of the steel on the inside and not a lot of contents?

What is out there that I could maybe line the inside of the case with?

you can try a couple things:

dynamat is a couple strips that stop vibrations to the case.

akasa padding aka spire aka 3ALink also known from its original name Paxmate 2, some people say it reeks of dead fish but the smell will go away after a while.

Don't try to take any of this stuff off, once you put it on, it'll stay on.

nothing can beat low noise components like yate loon fans, scythe fans, or noctua fans. You might want to replace your loud components with quieter alternatives first before you decide to go the sound insulation route.

Adding rubber fan silencers like these effectively gets rid of fan vibration noise: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6507/fss-24/120mm_Black_Rubber_Fan_Silencer.html?tl=g33c111 If the fans themselves are making noise it won't help but it will take away any vibration noise.

This kind of thing works for HDDs: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/3...t_Hard_Drive_Mounting_System_.html?tl=g33c113 or you can do your own rigging and suspend them.

Then there's your material that you line the case with: http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l2/g33/c117/list/p1/Ultra_Quiet-Case_Silencing.html

Material thickness of cheap Antecs might be little on thin side so good starting point would be dense bitumen/vinyl (or something similar) layer for increasing rigidity/mass damping of vibrations.
Adding of absorption foam would be only after that and thickness would have to be preferably around at least 1cm for good effect.

If you live in Europe there's combiantion mat from BeQuiet which has fair 2mm bitumen base layer and 8mm foam layer. Nexus Damptek is similar combination with different materials and little less thickness and should be available in US

That Crapmat is not worth the waste of time it takes to install.
I suggest you avoid mentioning it from now on for avoiding giving people delusion that it works for more than esthetics.
