I have a friend that when he talks over ventrilo for a game his voice somewhat sounds like a robot, like it has a lot of interference with background noise or something, he has all game sound turned off and everything. Any ideas on what it could be or maybe just a bad sound card ?
 
has he tried a different mic? who knows, even a cheapie one might be better quality if that is the case.
