Hi,

I'm looking to connect my soundblaster sound card which only has a digital out to my surround sound system... digitally. My only option with my receiver would be to use an optical cable. Is there any cable which will transform the digital out signal to an optical out?

There are converters sold, not very expensive at all, they're just a little block that goes inbetween the two cable types. Hit any decent audio store, they should either have them or be able to steer you toward them.
 
really sorry to ask but could anyone post a link. I've been looking for one but can't find any

edit: also if someone could please tell me what cable is supposed to go into the digital out slot that would be good too.
