I'm currently using an Antec 430 case along with an Asus P5E-VM HDMI motherboard. I have a MSI 8500GT video card that has both DVI and HDMI. I bought the HDMI cable and no sound works at all.
So, I decided to buy the Asus SPDIF Module out so that I can plug it into the headers on the motherboard. That doesn't work either. I've been messing around w/ this for two weeks now and cannot get the sound to work with HDMI.
So I figured maybe I should just get a sound card and if that's the case what kind?
I'm just trying to use the HDMI video and audio... Thanks guys in advance.
