I'm hooking my sound card output to my home stereo reciever. I get a low humming noise when i hook it up.

I have the asus a7n8x-deluxe. I tried using the digital coax and regular line-out and both will give me the humming noise.

I thought my reciever was going bad and that was the problem causing the noise. So i bought a new reciever and it has the exact same problem.

I tested the cables with other components and they work fine with no noise. It's just when I plug my computer sound to it that my home speakers put out the low humming noise. The computer does not even have to be on to cause the noise, just pluged in.

Any ideas on this problem? I'm guessing something in my computer case is causeing this but its odd that It still causes the noise when the comp is off.
