So I have a few questions.
1)If I'm using something like Sennheiser 439's or creative aurvana live, will I notice a large difference between a Xonar DG and a creative Z?
2)Is there any reason other than the cover or the mic, to go with the retail creative Z over the OEM version, as £45-50 is much more attractive than £70-75?
3)I have read about poor drivers and lack of long term support from creative. Is this a real issue?

Thanks, I know it was already answered in the other thread, but more opinions never hurt. As of the mic, I feel I would be be better picking up a cheap mic and just using the oem version. As beautiful as the card would look, is it worth £20-25? Not really, to me at least.
 
Also one more question. Does the Creative Z OEM fit into the Asus z87-K? sorry for my complete incompetence but I have never even seen a soundcard, so i don't know.

yes. it uses pci-e x1. and your motherboard does have that.
