Sound Card and USB headset.

if i get a usb gaming headset, and i plug it in the front of my antec 1200, does the sound go from my sound card through the usb, or does the sound come from the onboard motherboard sound?

[Track Drew]

Neither. Most USB headsets are recognized as a separate USB device. In this case it will appear as another audio device in the system. You then select this for audio input/output and your sound card is not utilized.

Yah, what Drew said... the USB headset has its own "soundcard."
