I am going to be getting a new soundcard in the next month. I am currently using a Creative Labs soundblaster live 5.1 gamer. I do not want to spend over $100 and I am using Logitech Z3e speakers which is a 2.1 setup. I am a gamer, my latest craze being Battlefield 2. I was looking at the Audigy 2 ZS Gamer and was wondering if I am going to notice much of a difference in the sound quality?
 
If your a gamer and want all the EAX features, you should look at the new generation of creative labs cards. It will be more then 100$ though

You have to ask yourself if the features are worth the extra 30$. If not, then just get a audigy 2 zs for like 60$. For the general gamer, its a very good card, although perhaps a little buggy with the drivers (ive already noticed one bug with my system).

FYI, as of recently both Directron.com and Newegg.com have started offering huge rebates on the Creative Labs line of sound cards. From Directron.com a Audigy 2 ZS Platinum is only $71, and Newegg.com has similar huge rebates (although on a wider variety of cards than Directron). If you're looking for an upgrade for a low price, now is certainly the time to do it.
