Hello everyone, Im having a small issue with my Sound Blaster Z and a a new Denon Avr-S710W receiver I got. I have them connected with an optical cable and I can seem to get 7.1 to work. Right now Im getting the center and the left-right front working but nothing more. I have tried all the settings on the Sound blaster settings and have the Encoder Dolby Digital Live on. The receiver shows all speakers are hooked up but no sound.
Anyone have any experience with this.
 
You are better off using HDMI or analogue. Optical for surround is compressed and problematic. You can get good rca cables from monoprice.com. 1/8th to rca stereo.
