are there any differences for gaming between the sb x-fi extrememusic and the platinum?

Only diff between the x-fi cards is if u moved to the fatality or elite, which adds 64mb of xram... which currently does nearly nothing in most games besides bf2.... so just go with the xtreme music as its MUCH cheaper than the others

And 'Prey' - according to Creative's site, anyway. Decompresses sound files to the X-Ram during level load to reduce CPU load while playing.

And, FWIW, if you note Creative's site, they are coming out with a Fatal1ty edition that does not have the remote or drive bay - just the bare card (including X-Ram). IIRC, it was $149 or something like that.
