whats the difference between all the sound blaster live! variations?

i have a sound blaster live! value in my system, but was wondering what was different between it and say a live! 5.1 or live! mp3.

and i guess another question i have is, could i flash the firmware on my live! value to say a live! 5.1 or a a live! mp3?

Not without desoldering the EEPROM chip. Even if you do manage not to ruin the card where is the center channel and sub output going to come from?
Leave it be and buy a new card already.
