Hi,
So I have one of these "Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module" hooked up to my X-fi Fatal1ty sound card and on it it has 1x digital opitical output, 1 x digital coax output, 1 x digital optical input, 1 x digital coax input.

I am currently using the Coax Output to provide digital sound to my Logitech 5.1 Suround sound system (see Sig) and it works great. I also have my PS3 in-putting digital optical sound to the Logitech control pannel and that works awesome as well.

My question is can I run a digital coax or optical line from my cable TV reciever to the Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module inputs and recieve that signal to my Logitec 5.1 system?

I know that since the Logitech system is hooked to the Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module through the coax line that I would have to have the Logitech control pannel on coax input to recieve sound, but would I get the sound from the TV reciever and the computer or will one cancel the other out?

Your Creative control panel should have an option for 'SPDIF pass-through' for the SPDIF input. I haven't done it myself but I think that should do the trick. Not sure how it balances audio from that source vs computer audio though, so you may have to disable it when the cable box is not in use.
