Is there a way I can adjust the sound on my Logitech Z-5300e speakers to make the rear louder? I have turned the fader on the remote all the way up so the rear speakers are as loud as the remote allows, but they are really dim compared to the front speakers( they are 6 feet behind me mounted on the wall). A way to adjust inside Windows would be fine, but I do also have a X-fi xtremegamer fatal1ty so I would think there would be a setting in there, but can't seem to find it...

Also, is there a setting to enable 5.1 in games, or is that automatic in games?

I just got 5.1s, so I am new to this :p

In games you will want to go into sound settings and set it to "surround" or "5.1" depending on the game.

Unless you're actually listening to 5.1 content, don't expect the rears to be loud. Even with the matrix upmixing on the 5300e the rears aren't mirrors of the front, but they are suposed to simulate a surround experience. With an Audigy 2 and windows XP you could use the mirroring mode to set the rears equal to the front speakers for listening to 2.1 content and music. I haven't figured out a way to do this in Vista.

For 5.1 content like dvds, you should only hear the rears in the background anyway unless there's an object moving over your shoulder onscreen or something.
