Hey,

does anyone know of a heater core that i can use in a system that isn't too expensive (15 to 25), locally available (ie autozone etc.) and about 5x7? my old chevette core is 6.25 x 7 or so and my new homemade case wont quite fit it. i want one that is a little thinner and longer to keep the cooling area the same but still fit it in my case. seems like most are square and i need one more rectangular. i know there is a database around somewhere but can't find it.

can anyone make a recommendation that isn't a foreign car heater core and really expensive? or just point me to where the datebase or info listed?

thanks,
oza

I would get out to a local junkyard and take a look at what they have, I got one there and they had a whole selection to fit different shapes and sizes.
