Ahh competition! or not? This just a smaller A9G? Not finding refresh, HDMI bandwidth or VRR info anywhere.

It's going to use the same panel as the LG CX 48". Any real differences come in how Sony handles processing of the signal and WebOS vs Android.

I really hope Sony has actually pulled all the stops here for gaming because their A9G series was not at all impressive for things like input lag. I still expect that the LG CX 48" is the better overall package though the A9S might have a slight edge in image quality for movies/TV.
