amazon just dropped about a hundred off the 49x900e , was 999, last week , and now its 898 this week....


possible inventory clearance before the new year... .because it says [2017 - yr only] am assuming the new 2018 versions will be coming in and possible these are discontinued soon

this is for mainly for productivity/office work/ and PC monitor and some light work. I WILL not be using it as a TV

would you consider that a good buy at this point ?
Good deal or wait a few more weeks and see if they come in at 800 $?

Unless you're really up against the wall after Christmas comes New Years and Super Bowl sales although that's a good price.

If I read correctly, the 900e series came out in February 2017. Call it Q1 2017 to be safe.

Sony *might* be keeping that cycle here in terms of 2018 models but there's nothing certain yet.
 
the longer I wait the more the prices drop..so I will wait another month and see but I think by January I'll have to make a move
