sony vaio 530J overclock?

my bro has a new vaio with a 530J 3GHz... would he be able to overclock that or no because of some OEM cpu issue?
 
My guess is no. Go into the bios and see if you can adjust the FSB.
 
OEM machines, from companies like Dell, Gateway, Hewlett Packard, Compaq, Sony and so on do not allow for overclocking. In some instances, such as with the Compaq X-Series gaming desktops, its possible. But very rarely is this the case. Sony will use an Asus OEM board or some other board built to their specs, but nothing that will take an off the shelf BIOS and certainly won't let you overclock.

Sorry, but your more than likely SOL on that one.
