I have a 19" CRT Sony Trinitron Monitor. I have had this monitor for about 4 years and now all of a sudden when I turn it on with the computer from a cold boot. I can seen yellow upward sloping horizonal lines only really noticable from a black screen. like the boot screen and windows startup. The only good thing is they go awhile in a matter a mintues I'm assuming as the monitor heats up. my question since it has never done this before does this mean my monitor is going bad or starting down this path?

Yes.

A typical issue w/ Trinitron, I write off 2 Trinitron under normal use, one 20", one 19".

Get yourself a Dell 2405
