I bought this great lcd about 2 weeks ago and put it threw some tuff test such as gaming, movies, video editing, PS, Etc.
When I first plugged it in I didn't care for it. I thought the colors sucked, blurryness, and brightness was way off. I then messed with the controls for about 40mins tuning them in and bam, shit is great!
No, its not more clear then a CRT by any means but very close and if you looking for a good DVI LCD 17Inch this one won't let you down.

i also have a benq fp-767 i give the sony a 9. the benq 9.5!

What do you like about the bedq over the sony?
 
benq was first to have 16ms that's why i bought it. what i like about the benq is text quality they look better on the benq than on the sony, you can see a red-ish on the sony (not much but it's there) and the benq has dsub only. response time on benq seem quicker. and i like the benq profile.

I don't see any red but hell I'm 30 mb my eyes are going heh. I'm going to buy a 20 something monitor and wall mount it for a tv/computer screen soon and probaly give this one to my rents but I want the quality of this sony at least cause I've been impressed so far and no dead/stuck pixies.

Oh, are you using the DVI on the sony? Thats what I'm using so mb thats why I don't see any red in the text.
