dont know if this is in the right thread...let me know. first off i have a sony str-de925...top of the series back in 2000. its an ac-3 5.1 and dts 5.1. my problem is on the dvd function. i have both the analog and coaxial outputs from my dvr hooked up and its set to auto-select source so when i switch from digital channels to analog it switches accordingly. well when its on auto-select and i'm watching an analog channel when i adjust the volume from the remote the audio seems to mute similar to when you start a dvd and the receiver unlocks and locks. this only happens from the remote and when its in auto-select...if i switch to analog only its fine. if it matters i have a scientific atlanta dvr,sony 5-disc changer on optical,airport express w/airtunes on optical and a ps2 on optical. also i have the cd player connected to the optical input for the dvd function but i keep the unit off so its not sending a signal. i know its confusing but since its from back in the day i have to work with the inputs available. any suggestions would help.
