I saw this over at anandtech "electric meyhem" posted it:

Sony Authurized dealer so they're garenteed new, under warrenty, etc etc.

Says 6 cents ground shipping as well so not bad for soemthign as big and obscure as that.

I'm just not too familiar with good quality in larger tvs.

But from what i've read LCD is the way to go since plasma degrades over time.

Lemme know what you guys think?
 
have the 50" version of this, it is farkin beautiful. got it from Circuit sh.... for about 2k. Can't remember if it was on sale, but its like 400 bucks more now, wierd.

I have this tv and it frickin rocks. Football in HD on monday night is awesome. I picked it up at Best Buy on sale for 1599.
 
I only see 2 problems with it

1. Its Sony
2. Its projection

...but that's just my opinion :)
 
Not really going to find many non plasma tvs that are not projection in that size range.
 
Well that's pushing the limits of my budget atm for tv unless I can sell this projector faster.

I figured plasma was better, but yeah finding one that big for a reasonable price would be pretty hard from what i've heard.
 
This is a really nice tv. I was going to buy a Samsung DLP but the picture on this is so much nicer. Anywho, PM to circuitcity for 10% of the difference off. I did that when it was onsale at BB for $1599 and got $20 lower than that.
 
My KDF-E42A10 lost a bulb in 20 days :(. Not suprising I guess considering Sony's past history with LCD projections. I hated the IRIS system and could never get the blacks to be consistently good... again... LCD projection.

I have a Samsung HLR-5067W DLP now and couldn't be happier.
