LCD is the way to go nowadays.

depends on how much you're willing to spend. There is a pretty big price gap between the two. Honestly, if I had the money for the 2405, I would probably just wait and get something like that westinghouse 37" hdtv. But for $325, the sony (in my case, hp ) won out. It was even less than the 2005fpw, for a bigger screen and higher res. What exactly do you plan to use it for?

the only advantage that the 2405 has is that it is lighter, and takes up less room
