No question; just some friendly advice in saying that there is no way in hell you are going to sell that TV for anywhere near that starting price. Hell, the 43" equivalent from Sony is selling on Best Buy brand new for $550. Also the lowest price your TV went before being discontinued was $650 from Crutchfield. You're basically asking for new prices on a 2 year old TV starting your auction at $620. I hate to say it but I would buy that TV for half of that price.

This tv is less than 2 years old keep in mind.I bought this TV in September 2016. This sony tv is a premium mid range 4k android tv that is worth $620. I am open for negotiations that's why I added best offer option ebay listing.

The equivalent would be the 800E which has HDR and Triluminos. Those are currently going for $650 at BB. The general rule-of-thumb for pricing used electronics is about 60% of the ORIGINAL price of the new equivalent, which was $750, so it should sell for $450 used. No harm in fishing for a higher price but passion should probably expect to get $450 out of it.

I am open for negotiations. How come people think $620 is so overpriced for a mid range premium 4k android tv? What is a reasonable price to sell this premium 4k tv for?

over priced or not, bruh if i'm buying a tv sight unseen i need to know it works. you need pics of it turned on showing content.

First of all, stop using "premium 4K TV" because that's not going to convince anyone that it's worth what you're asking. Like I said, similar TVs are selling brand new for the same price if not lower. Hell, I could buy a 65" Samsung 4K with HDR for $849 right now and you want over $600 for a 43" TV that is 2 years old? How could you possibly think that will sell? You are only wasting money on the eBay listing fees by not lowering the price now. That TV is worth no more than $350 and that's being very generous for a TV this old.

This is like the who broken PC thread all over again. This guy does not listen lol. Which is why I call him a troll.

Ok vegeta I lowered the price. I hope now people will be pleased with the lowered price :) $598 for the sony 4k android tv.

For what its worth. I have a 75" X850C. If I sell it, I'll be lucky to get $1500 for it as having 3D will be its biggest selling point. At this point I'm waiting for 3D to come back in newer models or for the Z9D to come down in price a bit more.

How much should the tv sell for then?

People have already spent their time talking to you in this thread. Asking every single person isn't effective. This isn't about getting a consensus. It's about knowing what things sell for on eBay or generally on the used market.

===

Checking eBay there are 3 that sold for $300-$330 on the low end.
3x in the middle going for $400
The most expensive ones that have sold are around $470 and there are 3 of them.
And I should note, that those sold prices are with shipping.

Literally any other one that actually sold for more was literally brand new. Not "like new". But actually new in box never used. You don't fit in that segment.

===

Additionally, I checked my local area to see what they're selling for.
https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=Sony XBR43X800D&sort=rel
I can buy one for $400 currently. And that would be a basically new open box with a warranty.

===

So there, I literally wasted 30 minutes of my life doing research you should have done yourself, and telling you the EXACT same things that have already been told to you in this thread. At the ABSOLUTE most you should be charging $450 TOTAL. As in, including shipping. If you actually want it gone in a reasonable time frame, it should probably be $350 with $50 shipping.

Honestly I am a surprised a tv like this could lose so much value :(
How are you surprised? It is 2 years old. Tech doesn't hold their value. You could get brand new TV that are better for the original price you were asking for. Stop using eBay cause you fail at the concept. You best bet to get the highest price is to sell it locally on craigslist. Still don't expect to get more then $350 for it. This TV is not future proof either. It is already obsolete.

Honestly I am a surprised a tv like this could lose so much value :(

Everything depreciates in value pretty quickly from new on. Tech probably more so than anything else. Cars lose at least 20% of their value within the first 2 years, which can be literally $5k in dollars easily.
Tech depreciates much faster as there is a new model every year (at least with cars a model might exist for at least 3-4 years with minor updates).

Generally after 5 years, almost 100% of any piece of tech will have depreciated to 10-20% of its original value. With only the most outstanding or generally usable items still retaining more value than that.
Think of any 5 year old TV at this point that you'd care to buy. I can't think of one. So with that, your TV falls in that spectrum at the 2 year mark. It will never go up, it will never retain value.

It's not OLED. Doesn't do HDR, let alone at least HDR600. Can't be overclocked (can't do more than 60hz). Not good for color reference. Nor even near the top end of its generation.

If you're buying any piece of tech, expect that this is the pattern that will happen. Tech IS NOT an investment. It's something that will is more or less a usable good that only has utility up to the point of full obsolescence and will only experience full value to the first owner at the beginning of ownership. If that's a piece of reality that slaps you in the face, never take an accounting class (because depreciation for all assets gets written off either immediately or over time, generally a period of 2-5 years).

===

If you truly understand these concepts and your goal is to save money, then really you should spend your money looking into good deals in the used market and use depreciation to your advantage. Of course after you buy it, it will still continue to depreciate under your ownership, but you'll have saved money to get it.

So you can choose to be the first owner of a shiny new thing and get the "utility" of having a shiny new thing and expect it to drop like a rock in value
or
buy something used and get it for a lot less and have more money in your pocket.

But you can't have both.

Ok you do make great points :)

I relisted the item the previous buyer did not send me payment in time. I need funds quick in my Life. I hope people understand :(
