Sonicwall 2040 Hardware Repair Help

Hello all,

I have a Sonicwall 2040 that will not retain it's settings after it loses power. I searched Google but could not find a solution to this. When I removed the cover to the box, I noticed there is some type of BIOS battery or something- could that be what is causing the issue?

More than likely, yes. I have a Sonicwall 2040 as well, and can double-check for you, but I do know these units are old. The battery could very well have died.
